February 13th

Hello Skydivers and "Whuffos" alike,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Unfortunately, Christmas has long gone and only fond memories and debt remain. So, instead of making the typical pilgrimage to the dropzone for a weekend full of skydiving fun (since, unlike BG and Juvenile, the planes don’t have Yokohama snow tires), members of the skydiving club chilled (literally) in the winter wonderland of their blackburgian homes. And by "their" homes I of course mean, the home of Jamie, Gaddy and Groundhog.

Why, you ask? Well last Friday was Jamie's birthday! And so the club celebrated Jamie, Sweetpea, and Woolly's birthday altogether, since February is the happenin' time to be born. Many of the skydiving club members were there...so if you were one of the one's absent, you missed an awesome high energy night! Sweetpea was drunk at like 9pm, but that didn’t deter him from rockin out some serious "Oh face" action in beer pong and foosball. It was a bit of a hindrance for him in what was probably the longest game of flip cup, EV-ER! Not long b/c the score was high...long b/c getting a group of 12 skydivers to pay attention for any amount of time is harder than herding squirrels!

And speaking of herded squirrels, there will be no member meeting on Monday night Feb 13th. Check your emails concerning conference night. And, exciting news! Woolly Day will be this Friday! So check your emails for the skinny on that...a celebration of getting fed up w/ school / work and a relief value for all your angst!

Newbies...despite the fact it's cold...we still skydive! And now's the best time to learn stuff like parachute packing, etc. Email skydive@vt.edu if you want/NEEEEEED some 411! Happy Woolly Day!

Lastly, and certainly not least, guys in relationships! Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Valentine's Day! DON'T FORGET! Else you'll face the wrath of a woman scorned! Singles: it's Black Tuesday / SAD (Singles Awareness Day). Don't forget to get drunk and go lookin for other drunks that share your drunken horniness! Homework can wait! And everybody, don't forget...Valentine's Day is also Woolly's Birthday, HOLLA! One quarter century...my oh my. 25% of 100. So whether you're coupled, single, or Woolly (who is happily coupled, btw), revel in the phenalthylamine thrill that is Valentine’s Day! That’s right! add phenalthylamine to the list of favored neurotransmitters...along with seratonin, dopamine, adrenaline (is that one?) and acetacholine (b/c it sucks to not be able to move).
