Ahhhhh, Springtime...
The snow is melting off the pine trees, the ground is thawing, and the flowers are starting to bloom.(cue record scratch noise). Wait a minute! It's February!!!! Well, the weather has been unseasonably awesome these last few days, and the Skydiving Club took full advantage on Saturday. For a January weekend, AAS showed record numbers of like-minded skydivers trying to cash in on the fair weather. Many of the VT jumpers stayed occupied gettin jiggy w/ the hackey sack, and, oh yeah, skydiving! Prickles, Christie and Freshman are all gearing up for West Point's coach's course this upcoming weekend, and so the great and fabulous Woolly accompanied by the less great Jamie and Groundhog assisted in preparing these future coachs' by means of practice jumps and, well, coaching coaching. So next time you see Christie, Freshman or Prickles, wish them good luck! but they shouldn't need it, all of them performed very well this past weekend. And speaking of one of our future coach's, happy birthday Freshman!!!!
Well, speaking of partaying, the club got pretty freaky Saturday night w/ some hardcore foosball, kings, and lots and lots of beer. It's funny how 3 am really sneaks up on ya when you're havin fun! D'oh! Newbies! If you are thinking about skydiving, email skydive@vt.edu for all the 411 you need! It doesn't matter if you only want to do it once or make it your favoritist most awesome hobby, just holla back at us and we'll hook you up! Members! Monday's night's meeting at 7pm at TOTS and conference night at Belligejen's (don't forget to RSVP!) are your opportunities for club fellowship/drunkenness. This Friday most of the club is blastin' off to WP.so it's shapin up to be a partay down there, holla! email skydive@vt.edu if you need a ride or some info.
