Tandem Skydiving
Your first Jump will be a tandem skydive. Tandem skydiving allows
you the thrill of freefall with the comfort of knowledge that
you are with an experienced instructor. This is the most popular,
most affordable and quickest way to make your first skydive.
|
Training
When you arrive at the dropzone you will be shown a short 5 minute
video and given a waiver to fill out. After you complete this
you will get together with your tandem instructor for about 1
hour of ground school. During this training session you will learn
about your body position, safety, the equipment that will be used,
the free fall, and canopy control. Although you will be attached
to a professional tandem instructor with years of experience this
is not a Disney world ride, it is critical to yours and your instructors
safety that you follow all instructions you are given during this
training.
What your jump involves
After you are harnessed up you and your instructor will board
our aircraft and ascend to over 10,000 feet. Once you have reached
jump altitude, you (securely fastened to your instructor) will
exit the aircraft and experience the exhilaration of freefall
at 120 mph for approximately 40 seconds. Once you reach 5,500
feet, you or your instructor will deploy your parachute for a
five to seven minute canopy ride. Your descent will be gradual,
allowing you time to enjoy the serenity of flight and a bird’s
eye view of the breath taking scenery below. Finally, you and
your instructor, in unison, will flare your canopy for a nice
soft landing.
Cost
The first tandem at Adrenaline Air Sports is usually $219.
If you decide to go through the skydiving club, the price of your
jump will be
discounted $10 so it will cost you $209.
(This price is only available if you schedule your jump through
us)
Check out other dropzones if you'd like; that's the best price
around!!
